Weekend Blog Love

Happy Saturday, lovelies! After a long weekend in New Orleans, I only had enough energy to deliver one solid blog post this past week. At first I was feeling a bit down on myself for that, but then I realized that sometimes it’s ok to take a little break. Am I right? With that being said, I’m ready to get back into the full swing of things in the weeks to come, and I have lots of deliciousness up my sleeve ;)

If you’re new around these parts, this weekly update is my way of sharing what’s been happening in my life over the past week. It’s also my way of sharing the love to other great blogs that I read. I spend a good chunk of my mornings reading other blogs and I love to curate lists of my favorite posts.

This past week has been one of playing catch-up for me. I made myself a promise that I would not check email or worry about “work” while I was on vacation, so that meant that when I got home on Tuesday evening I had over 200 emails to sift through and clear out.

Although that sounds like a horrible task (let’s be honest, it’s all mostly junk anyway), I do get nice little surprises in my email pretty regularly. It’s always a pleasure to get those doses of positivity amongst the chaos and I thank you SO much for all of your kind words! Here are a few of my favorite emails from the past few weeks:

“This is an awesome post – and a great addition to my BuJo! Thanks for all you do! You’ll be the first person on my list I am grateful for!” – Stacy

“I love, love, LOVE your website.  I came across it this morning as I googled ‘How to set intentions for a Mala’.  I’m so excited to have just subscribed to your newsletter.  Thanks for the beautiful Mandala colouring (Canada – we add a ‘u’) page which I will do tonight and give a place of honour (u- again) on the first page of the bullet journal which I plan to do starting in December.” – Leslie

“Just wanted to let you know that I discovered bohoberry.com by means of the BulletJournal.com, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your web site! So incredibly beautiful, inspirational, and applicable to the topics in my life. THANK YOU for adding joy, color, and zest to our world!” – Sunday

“I have recently found your blog and I am a huge fan! You encourage me to live better, more deliberately and more bravely :) You have meant two huge things to me recently:

1) You made me go back to bullet journaling and I absolutely adore it (again) :D

2) You have made me decide to do a Whole30! Your posts were so inspiring and the feeling of ‘blah’ and too little energy you were describing (before the Whole30) is just how I have felt lately. So I am doing my own in November!
So, I am writing to you to say THANK YOU for your great blog and thank you for the impact you have had on my life!” – Maria

I just can’t tell you how amazing it is for me to read these emails every day! You all have definitely made the “chore” of email an enjoyable one and I could not be more grateful!

Speaking of grateful, I was super excited to receive these two gift boxes this week from James over at moustachestationery.com!

Moustache Stationery

Aren’t they just awesome?!? Each box included a great array of hand-picked stationery products. All amazing quality, and nice and quirky… just the way I like it :)

Moustache Stationery

I’m especially excited to give those pencils a try! I’ve been eyeing them for some time now and I’m looking forward to lots of sketching in my future! If these boxes sound right up your alley too, you should definitely head on over and check out their monthly subscription box… you won’t be disappointed! Thank you SO much James for these awesome supplies :)

As if all of THAT was not enough excitement for one week, I also got this brand new leather journal from Curtis Matsko over on Etsy! I’m absolutely in love with the soft, supple leather. The turquoise accent and cute little monogram just make this journal absolutely perfect!

Curtis Matsko Journal

The handmade insert goes in Midori-style with an elastic band, and the pages are a beautiful antique-ey beige that I just adore! Of course I had to do a pen test on the back page, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it held up extremely well to both my fountain pens and my felt-tip Faber Castell pens :)

Curtis has a great 50% off sale going on in his Etsy shop right now, so I had to jump on it and order mine right away! If you’re interested, you can also check Curtis’ website: www.mooseheadknox.com
