Well, hello there! Today I’m coming to you with a topic that is SO near and dear to my heart: How to ignite your passion and find your calling. If you’re a personal development junkie like I am, then you’ve undoubtedly heard many self-help authors talk about this subject.
Here’s a quote that inspires me daily:
“Don’t worry about what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” ~ Howard Thurman
If you’re a Boho Berry Tribe Member, then you might remember a little email I sent out last month about this topic of finding your passion. Since then, it’s been something that has been on my mind day in and day out.
I have been completely overwhelmed by the number of new Tribe Members we’ve been welcoming to Boho Berry! If you’ve been following along with my Traffic & Income Reports, then you will know that building an email list has been a top priority for me over the last few months.
I read all of the advice, I followed all of the steps, but I wasn’t gaining any traction until one massive thing clicked in to place… I found my passion!
What began as a blog to highlight my jewelry design process has evolved into a place where I am sharing my expertise and inspiring others to live to their full potential. And let me tell you: it feels amazing!
Once I made the full shift into following my passion, I started to see immense growth. Not only in my blog and business, but in all other areas of my life as well. Writing about these topics that inspire me has lead to a massive positive shift in my life, and for that I could not be more grateful!
what are YOU passionate about?
Finding our own personal calling is something that we all strive for. I have come to believe whole-heartedly that the key to finding your calling is to turn what you are passionate about into a way to help others.
That thing you are passionate about? It can help someone out there. Maybe even a LOT of someones! Can you imagine making a difference in the lives of others? What kind of impact would that have on your own life? I’m willing to bet that it would be amazing!
So today, I’m offering you my help!
Today, I want you to run through a quick little exercise:
1 >> Grab a notebook or sheet of paper and write down 3 things that you are passionate about. (Mine are Meditation, Wellness, and Achieving Goals) If this is hard for you, try asking yourself these questions:
- What are my goals?
- What do I do most of the time?
- What do I keep on trying to do?
- What draws me?
- If I could do one thing for the rest of my life, what would it be?
- What do I love to do?
- What would I do, even if I didn’t get paid to do it?
- What makes me feel like nothing else exists?
- What activity makes me feel completely in my element?
- What am I doing when I feel “right” or “beautiful” or “connected”?
2 >> Brainstorm some ways that you can turn one (or all) of those passions into a way to help others.
3 >> Take just ONE of those ideas and set yourself a goal to put it into motion.
What you might find as you embark on your goals, is that your passions evolve. When I first started Boho Berry, I was super-passionate about making jewelry (I still am, by the way). Once I started blogging about topics that would interest my boho-loving customers, that passion began to evolve and create new passions in my life.
The trick to finding your calling through all of this is simple:
Do things that you are passionate about. The rest will follow suit.
